Art, Portfolio, Showreel
We have been given some pointers on hove to write a better blog, and one of the assignments was to “fix” an earlier entry of our blog… stuff.
So let’s just start shall we?
Having presented our animatic some of us started to realize that the story was lacking. So Aleksander and I tried out different ways to save our film, starting with one of our other, more complete stories, or fixing the one we had.
After a tense discussion later that day with the rest of the group, we decided to discard our original idea and start on a new and different story, using some of the designs we had lying around.
We sat down and came up with a lot of ideas for what was going to happen, and ended up with something we were confident to continue working on.
We kept the woman, robot and desert setting, but remade everything else.
Here’s the treatment which WE ALL worked on
Ok, Concept Art presentations are starting in under an hour, but I’m posting some more pieces before I have to catch the train.
Have been working on the storyboard shots together with Jamie, which was fun.
Michael put all the shots into a storyboard yesterday, while Jamie was creating the animatic.
Aleksander have been sick for some days now, and I had to leave early yesterday because of work.
I’m exhausted by all the work that had to be done, but I really really want to learn this stuff.

There’s more, but I need to catch the train!
Trying to make a better robot design and in my opinion the lighting looks better than in the other designs I made.
Stayed up all night making more concept art.
So very tired.
We started storyboarding the start of the film at school today.
Now, some pictures:

I wanted to make some light armor for her so she could run around and being the acrobatic person she is. The pose is better than in the previous design I made of her, and the colors are a bit warmer, more fitting for the desert environment.
