I was holding these pictures back because I wanted to post all of the missing pictures at once, but my blog looks empty, so here are some of the new ones:
I started to play around with different shapes and ended up with this confused creature
That was the first of the new ones. I realized that blocking in colors is much is easier to do than making line-drawings digitally.
Ok, Batman(the dark version(especially the Tim Burton/Michael Keaton version)), Hellboy and Wolverine are my favorite comic book characters. PERIOD!
A wizard and his dragon-ish pet. Got bored and didn’t finish it.
This kind of looks like it's in the style of the B.P.R.D.-comics, though it wasn't intentional
Sorry for not posting a sketch a day, but I’m trying to make up for it by making sketches for all those missing days. Reason to why I’ve not created that many sketches is because of a lot of work at Meny, and being exhausted.
I made this while watching "Creepshow" (directed by George A. Romero), a funny horror film from 1982. This is a "loose" sketch of one of the characters.
These two sketches were made veeery quickly. In… I dunno 5 mins each. I can’t seem to adjust to the tablet and I feel I can’t draw for poo anymore. That is one of the reason Aleksander and I are doing this, but still… I strongly dislike to show works I’m not too happy about.
My interpretation of Guybrush Threepwood disguised as LeChuck
Aleksander suggested we should start making a sketch each and every day from now on, so here’s my first sketch in this project. I can’t update this blog every single day, but will make up for it by creating a sketch for each missing post.
The reasons for me to do this are to get better at drawing, getting more creative and just updating my blog with something.
Sebastian in my class suggested that I should draw Guybrush Threepwood as LeChuck, but I made him a LeChuck disguise instead.
Made with the OLD Wacom tablet. Just IMAGINE the possibilities with the magnificent and fantasticular Intuos 4!
I just added ‘Stuff’ to the gallery along with some old pictures.
Earlier today I woke up by a TNT-man(or UPS-guy) ringing the doorbell. Obviously he hated his job and probably wanted to strangle a monkey, but he gave me my brand newWacom Intuos 4 tablet first.
Oh joy! It didn’t work at first *panic*, but found some drivers on the net that fixed my problems *relief*.
It’s a lot better and sensitive than the Wacom I borrowed at school.
Now I just got to make something with it. Hmmm… Animating or “painting”. Animating or “painting”…
I’m fairly happy with the outcome, but the animation could and should have been better in many places. Starting late with animation does things like that. But it’s the best film I’ve worked on so far…
We’ve just finished with the “making of” as well, giving people a small peek into our production process.
Even though it’s meant for the teacher and sensor, I really want to include this on the final dvd.
Now I just have to evaluate myself and look through my blog to see if I can improve on some of the posts.
Lots and lots of thanks and praise to the team for doing a great job on this film!
I really feel bad about my self. Like rotten on the inside. A bitch etc.
I’ve sunk into a hole of deceit that I truly despise. For what it’s worth I’m really really sorry.
The previous blogpost might have seemed a bit harsh, but being tired can do that.
Not that it is a good excuse though
It might seem like I’m hiding behind my blogposts, but it’s when I write that the words from my heart really can be spilled out. In short: I’m not very good at verbal communication.
The previous cut was not terrible, but we felt that work could be done on it. And I KNOW you’ve worked hard on it. And I’m not saying that we’re any better than you in any way. None of us are editors after all. But when we were two people in the same room, we could criticize each others decisions on the fly.
I showed the cut to a friend and got almost no reactions and panicked.
We couldn’t have made this film without you, and I appreciate the work you’ve done on this film.
I don’t expect you to forgive me, but just let me tell you AGAIN: I’m sorry!
Doppler used my school computer for rendering, so I had to use Paint
Ok, so we just finished our short film and I’m ready to finally relax after all this stress.
I had to go to Michael’s home in Asker yesterday, to finish the editing and sound. The reason was because I didn’t see the “final cut” until very late, and saw that it didn’t turn out like I hoped it would. Changes had been done that didn’t work and such.
I’m a 25 year old norwegian male student, currently residing in Middlesbrough, UK
My goal is to get a bachelor degree in Digital Character Animation at Teesside University, and get into the industry as an animator or concept artist(when I’m good enough).
This blog is here partially to push myself to become a better artist.
