AVE: Hard disk drive crashed… No backup! (links)

My hard drive crashed. While my computer is up and running again with a new hd and Win 7, I’ve lost all my files. Every single one.

I curse thee, foul desolate storage units of despair!!!

The good thing though, is that I have Win 7 as opposed to Vista, and I’ve started backing up my files online.

This is a major setback in every module at school, but I don’t think it’s hopeless. I just have to workincredibly hard . Yes, it sucks, but I’ve learned a very important lesson. Backup your files!

does Paul Wells teach at your school? Just wondering, I go to AUCB in Bournemouth for animation production. Wondering what the comparison is like on the two schools.

I couldn’t find him when searching in the staff. Which year are you in? This is my third and final year, two first being in Norway.

The teacher in character animation, Shiobhan Fenton, is very focused on acting, much in the vein of Ed Hooks (she’s even mentioned in his book). I prefer this way of teaching, as a lot of animating has to be learned on your own. We also have labs with a teacher, Chris Wyatt.

It seems like year 2 and 3 at Bournemouth, is something like the whole second year at Noroff (where I studied).

I like the illustrations on your page! :)

Wow that was a bad experience for you hard drive to crash but on the other hand, one should always be alert because hard drive carsh is just like a time bomb.It was good too that you are now backing up your files online.Well with me,i use SafeCopy online backup as my alternative online backup system. They are cheap because for only 50bucks a year i can get space of 150GB and not only that they also offer a free unlimited 3GB trial and they are now upgrading the 3GB trial to 5GB trial. This is so wonderful compared to other online backup system.
