When the voice actor(James Harris) sessions were over, I started creating a very rough and quick animatic of how I wanted the final animation to be. The camera is supposed to go closer in on the scientist, as he gets more and more intense and frustrated. It was made in Photoshop and Premiere.
I’ve been busy with other things this week, but managed to put together an animatic for the AVE assignment.
I took the storyboard pictures, cut them out and imported them in Adobe Premiere. Then the shots we’re put together in the timeline and timed.
Added an animated cloud layer over the exterior shots and a fume layer over the interior shots. They are hard to see in the render I did, but will hopefully be fixed.
I added a piece of music that I intend to use in the final product. Sound effects are yet to be put in.
This is a rushed WIP storyboard (I changed the character design and age after page 2), for the short animation I plan to make for the Practical Project module, and a crude piece of concept art for one of the characters.
After a lot of feedback to our presentation, we started to think a bit more about the suggestions. Keeping some, but decided to throw the other comments away.
Stayed up all night making more concept art.
So very tired.
We started storyboarding the start of the film at school today.
Now, some pictures:
I wanted to make some light armor for her so she could run around and being the acrobatic person she is. The pose is better than in the previous design I made of her, and the colors are a bit warmer, more fitting for the desert environment.
I have been working on this storyboard for my mandatory assignment.
It’s based on a treatment I wrote earlier this semester called “In Your Face!”. Used PhotoShop CS3 to draw the drawings and put them into the storyboard template.
I’m a 25 year old norwegian male student, currently residing in Middlesbrough, UK
My goal is to get a bachelor degree in Digital Character Animation at Teesside University, and get into the industry as an animator or concept artist(when I’m good enough).
This blog is here partially to push myself to become a better artist.
